TelePacific Communications (News - Alert), a wholesale provider of Private Line Transport, Ethernet, IP, and VoIP services serving business customers throughout California and Nevada, has extended its reach into the Chico, CA (News - Alert) market by making use of 360networks' services.

In a press release, Russ Shipley, TelePacific's senior vice president of network engineering, said, "Given our large California customer base, expanding our extensive statewide fiber optic network with additional reach, redundancy and capacity into markets like Chico is critical to support our continued growth.”

All 360networks' (News - Alert) services leverage the company's 18,500-route mile network to over 60 tier 1 to 4 markets, with more than 130 Points of Presence and over 300 additional market-capable sites. To support TelePacific's growth, it converted its Chico optical regeneration site into a point of presence.

TelePacific, offering business continuity and managed network security solutions, and 360networks say that TelePacific will now have the ability to quickly pursue next generation strategies and migrate from legacy networks, grow into new markets and services, and increase network diversity.

"We recognize that each of our customers have unique requirements," said Mike Kozlowski, Private Line and Ethernet Product Director for 360networks, in a statement. "With our deep network assets within their footprint we are able to meet TelePacific's need for a reliable, cost effective alternative to legacy connectivity solution."

In related news, 360networks announced that Clearfly Communications has selected its Ethernet Virtual Private Line (EVPL) service to support end user needs between Billings and Seattle.
