Suddenlink, a multiple service operator in North America, announced today that it selected Empirix’s Hammer XMS to help cut operational costs by monitoring its network to identify issues that may negatively affect the customer.
With Hammer XMS, the company has been able to easily troubleshoot and fix issues before they impact service.
Also, company officials said this has enabled the company to efficiently assure network quality while also enhancing its ROI.
Erik Owens, director of engineering at Suddenlink said the company strives to provide simplified bundled TV, Internet, phone and other services to customers and has been working with Empirix (News - Alert) for the last four years.
“When we expanded our Softswitch to a GEO configuration, we turned to Empirix to assure the quality of our network,” Owen said, adding that the Hammer XMS solution has delivered, “stable” and “flawless” performance, and as a result, the company has been able to maintain its exceptional quality of service, while also cutting operational costs and extending the benefits to customers.
Empirix is a provider of service quality assurance solutions for new IP communications. The company’s Hammer XMS delivers carrier-class network monitoring for complete visualization into real-time service quality and offers an end-to-end network view of both IP-based and SS7 signaling.
“Empirix’s solutions are designed to efficiently monitor and report on network and service behavior to ensure optimal quality for service providers like Suddenlink,” said JD Doyle, general manager for Service Assurance business unit at Empirix.
Doyle also said that when each part of the network functions properly, operational costs are easily reduced since less time is needed to troubleshoot problems and the customer experience remains at the highest satisfaction levels.
“Suddenlink, a four-year customer, is a testament to the quality and reliability of Empirix solutions,” Doyle said.
