VoIP Management Solution Rated Avaya Compliant

Tone Software (News - Alert) Corporation, a global provider of comprehensive network monitoring and management solutions for converged telecommunications and IT infrastructures, has announced that its ReliaTel VoIP management solution has been rated compliant with Avaya (News - Alert) Aura Communication Manager 6.0.


Officials with Tone Software Corporation said that the ReliaTel solution provides comprehensive VoIP quality and service level management for converged environments, including real time VoIP QoS and QoE analysis and trunk performance reporting for Avaya Communications Manager through the SAT interface.

According to company officials, Tone’s ReliaTel manages both VoIP call quality and the underlying converged network infrastructure in a holistic manner.

The management solution provides network and IT support teams with a unified management portal to rapidly and accurately pinpoint issues affecting network quality performance occurring at every segment across the converged environment.

“ReliaTel delivers the essential answers and capabilities today’s service providers, VARs and enterprises require to effectively manage converged communications service levels from end to end – from the SIP trunks entering the LAN to the softphones on the desktops,” said Amit Kapoor, director of strategic technology advancement for Tone, in a statement. 

“Through compliance testing with industry leaders such as Avaya, our mutual clients may be assured of interoperable solutions that leverage the latest technologies and provide value to drive business success,” said Kapoor.

Tone Software is a member of the Avaya DevConnect (News - Alert) program—an initiative to develop, market and sell innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology and extend the value of a company’s investment in its network.

 “Development partners like Tone Software are helping Avaya offer customers a broad selection of standards-based solutions that are compliance-tested for interoperability,” said Eric Rossman (News - Alert), vice president, developer relations at Avaya.  

Rossman said that Tone’s ReliaTel enables businesses to use communications more effectively, helping to drive strategic business objectives and successfully compete in today’s global economy.

TMCnet recently reported that Johnson Controls (JCI) will be upgrading to Avaya Aura as the company's new global IP Telephony platform.

The upgrade is expected to provide new capabilities and a solution that supports the company's commitment to state of the art communication technologies and lower costs.
