In an announcement that highlights its significant growth despite the economic scenario, a Toronto, Canada-based VoIP gateways provider has ranked 40^th among the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 ranking for Canada.

 

Officials with Sangoma Technologies (News - Alert), which had 383 percent revenue growth from 2004 to 2008, say the recognition is proof of the company’s “highly differentiated solutions and global network of partners and customers.”

 

According to David Mandelstam (News - Alert), CEO of Sangoma, "By listening to our customers and continuing to focus on innovation, Sangoma has been able to achieve significant growth over the past five years, despite difficult economic conditions.”

 

The Deliotte Technology Fast 50 honors companies who are headquartered in Canada, have been in business for five years and have revenues of at least $5 million and evaluates these companies based on key criteria.

 

Even despite the global recession, Canadian companies are proving successful according to John Ruffolo, National Leader, Technology, Media & Telecommunications Industry Group, Deloitte (News - Alert).

 

"Sangoma is an excellent example of the determination, drive and skill that will serve to position them for further growth and success as the economic recovery takes hold," said Ruffolo.

 

Recently, Sangoma announced a partnership with next-gen phone system provider CudaTel, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Barracuda Networks (News - Alert), to deliver the CudaTel Communication Server IP-PBX appliance.

 

According to Sean Heiney, CudaTel product manager and director of New Product Initiatives for Barracuda Networks, the company found Sangoma to be a perfect fit to provide the voice cards they needed to launch their IP-PBX (News - Alert) offering as they were well-known in the industry for their high-quality voice cards.
