Cantata Adds ENUM Support, Load Balancing to VoIP Gateway

Cantata Technology (News - Alert) has added over 20 features to its IMG 1010 media and signaling VoIP

Load balancing support is another key feature, according to Wieder. “You can have multiple VoIP gateways operating in parallel. There is fault tolerance if one goes down, the load balancer with redistribute traffic over the remaining gateways.”
The gateway product also provides enhanced any-to-any signaling, which adds complete mapping between ISDN and SS7, based on ITU Q.699 standard, and CAS support for more connectivity options with worldwide telecom operators

The new version of the IMG 1010 will be available in April.
