ZyXEL Communications (News - Alert), a broadband networking company offering a wide-ranged portfolio of wired and wireless network solutions, announced the availability of ZyXEL EMG2306-R10A Wireless N300 4-ports Gigabit Ethernet Gateway.

The gateway is especially designed for service providers, telcos and cable operators that want to deliver triple-play services to residential applications.

With its new Gigabit Ethernet gateway, ZyXEL addresses the concerns associated with the Internet content transmission in triple-play service to residential customers. The wireless gateway offers coverage up to 1,000 square feet, typical of a mid-sized home environment.

The EMG2306-R10A provides a transmission speed up to 300 Mbps, capable of supporting multiple users and multiple media applications at the same time without any performance degradation.

Another application of EMG2306-R10A is to deliver contents to different multi-media devices. The gateway ensures contents are distributed to the specific device properly.

With its ability to support 802.1q, VLAN and DHCP, EMG2306-R10A effectively distributes different packets to every individual specific port. It reduces traffic flow caused by excessive unnecessary packet numbers when a large amount of information is exchanging in the networking.

The gateway solution is also compliant with TR-069 protocol, enabling networking administrators of telcos, cable operators and service providers to remotely monitor, diagnose and maintain EMG2306-R10A installed at residential subscriber's environments. This reduces operation costs for maintaining products on site.

ZyXEL Communications was recently recognized with two awards. The company was selected among the twenty recipients of the 2013 Top Taiwan Global Brands award. The prize recognizes ZyXEL for having a brand value of $101 million.

In another similar achievement, ZyXEL Communications announced it was selected as the first GEPON brand in India by SME Channel Connect and Awards 2013. This award validates ZyXEL’s continuous investments and enhancements on its brand value and also shows its highly regarded image and position in Indian market, the company said.
