Matrix Comsec has developed a range of VoIP devices for the North American market.
As the company explains, “As VoIP continues to grow at compounding rate globally and with high penetration of Hosted VoIP, Unified communications and SIP trunking, the need of intelligent voice gateways is inevitable.”
The new gateways are based on SIP (Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert)), a networking standard common across VoIP hardware and software. Matrix’s gateways can interface with a number of common telephony devices, including IP-PBXs, TDM PBXs, Softswitchs and hosted platforms. The gateways also support of to 512 VoIP calls, 40 GSM/3G, 120 FXO, 512 FXS and 16 T1/PRI interfaces.
For those concerned about their installed base of capabilities, the gateways can also interoperate with a number of other VoIP manufacturers, including Broadvox, BabyTel, MegaPath (News - Alert), nexVortex, Viteliy and Voxbone. Other features include PSTN trunking, SIP trunking for TDM PBXs, a Sip registrar with PBX functions, GSM/3Q voice and data, TLS/SRTP security, fax over IP, and remote administration.
“Matrix has a range of fixed and scalable VoIP Gateways offering superior voice quality and access to GSM/3G, T1/PRI and POTS networks. Optimized to work in any SIP environment, Matrix gateways are interoperable with leading ITSPs, IP/TDM PBXs, Hosted PBXs and Soft switches.
