Grandstream Networks to Offer High Density Analog VoIP Gateways
IP voice, video telephony and video surveillance solution manufacturer Grandstream Networks (News - Alert) has added new high density and performance, analog VoIP gateways to its portfolio. Small and medium-sized businesses with large voice call volume will be able to choose between four model sizes: the GXW4216 for 16-FXS-telephone ports, GXW4224 for 24-FXS-telephone ports, GXW4232 for 32-FXS-telephone ports and GXW4248 for 48-FXS-telephone ports. The new gateways are SIP-based and will offer businesses the benefits of VoIP communications, while continuing to support existing analog phones, fax machines and legacy PBXs. The gateways will provide increased speed, advanced security and privacy protection, and as well as remote provisioning capabilities. “We are pleased to announce the new GXW42xx FXS gateways that are exciting extensions to our award-winning gateway portfolio,” David Li (News - Alert), CEO of Grandstream Networks, said in a statement. “Analog VoIP gateways are great transitional solutions for businesses that wish to preserve and maximize their investment in existing analog systems while taking their time to evaluate and migrate to an all IP-based infrastructure. The new GXW42xx series raises the level of features, performance, reliability and voice clarity for enterprise gateway products while maintaining our market leadership on low per-port price.” Prices of the gateways vary by model. Costs will be $599 for the GXW4216; $849 for the GXW4224; $1,149 for the GXW4232; and $1,649 for the GXW4248. The GXW4216, GXW4224 and GXW4232 will be commercially available sometime this month, while the GXW4248 will be available in early April. Grandstream demonstrated the new series of VoIP gateways during the recent Channel Partners Conference and Expo held in Las Vegas. The company recently announced that it completed interoperability testing between its GXP IP Phones/GXV IP Multimedia Phones and Broadsoft's Broadworks 18.SP1 VoIP Communications platform, which will ensure that customers will be provided with unified SMB communication solutions and integration between voice and video endpoints.
