Sangoma Technologies (News - Alert) Corporation and Broadvox, a provider of customized integrated managed VoIP communication and collaboration solutions, announced that the Sangoma Network Appliance (News - Alert) Provisioning (SNAP) Tool has been certified for use in deploying Sangoma's Vega Series TDM-to-IP VoIP gateways on the Broadvox SIP trunking service network. As such, Broadvox (News - Alert) will now make the SNAP Tool available to its reseller and distribution partners offering its managed VoIP services to businesses.

The SNAP Tool is an easy-to-use Web tool that can be used to configure a Vega gateway simply by entering three or four items provided by Broadvox into its configuration screen. The tool then provides a full configuration file unique to the Broadvox network that can be used to configure the gateway for service in as little as a minute.

"We are seeing a dramatic acceleration in the adoption of SIP trunking by businesses looking to take advantage of the economic and productivity benefits inherent with this service," said Mike Gruszka, director of product development at Broadvox, in a statement. "Sangoma's SNAP Tool and Vega Series gateways make it very simple for our channel partners to deploy service to customers that have a legacy PBX, but want to use SIP trunks for connectivity."

Supporting a broad range of TDM interfaces for PBX connectivity, Vega Series Gateways offer an extensive set of VoIP codecs that provide efficient interworking with Broadvox's SIP trunking service and other SIP endpoints. Currently, the SNAP Tool supports the entire Vega Gateway (News - Alert) Series and this support will be expanded to include Sangoma's recently announced line of session border controllers for Ip-toIP connectivity.

In December, Sangoma signed a multiyear OEM supply agreement with Mutualink, a specialist in advanced interoperable communications solutions for public safety, and Aircell, a leader in business aviation in-flight connectivity equipment and services.

Around that time, Sangoma released its Lyra Answering Machine Detection (AMD (News - Alert)) for Asterisk software solution, which allows system developers to integrated sophisticated dialer analytics features into Asterisk-based platforms.
