Patton Unveils BODi rS Wireless Internet Line-Bonding Router
By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor
Patton (News - Alert), a supplier of VoIP access solutions such as VoIP gateways and routers, announced the availability of its new BODi rS family of network bonding multichannel VPN Internet routers that have the ability to aggregate multiple WAN-access lines.
The rack-mountable BD007 network-bonding router can aggregate broadband speed with bandwidth on-demand by bonding up to seven 3G/4G/LTE, WiFi/WiMAX (News - Alert) or VSAT uplinks into unified high-bandwidth WAN connection. By creating a reliable, load-balanced Internet access, the Internet routers allow businesses to create "virtual leased line" with bandwidth on-demand.
BD004, with enhanced ruggedness in a light-weight portable form factor, is designed for mobile applications. It can operate on DC power. Network administrators can use the mobile 3G/4G bonding router to set up a Wi-Fi mesh in minutes. BD004 multi-channel VPN router provides megabits-per-second of high-availability bandwidth, aggregated from multiple load-balanced 3G/4G/LTE (News - Alert) connections.
BODi rS multi-WAN line-bonding routers are ideal for business critical networking applications at banks, brokerages, hotels, hospitals, ships, busses, power plants, and construction sites. With their load balancing and link failover capabilities, the solution helps businesses prevent revenue loss and improve worker productivity.
Businesses can use the one-box BODi solution to establish a local Wi-Fi mesh with firewall, encryption and multi-WAN routing. They can deliver transparent bandwidth on demand for seamless high-speed Internet connectivity. Businesses can also add wireless Internet speed as needed, while maintaining existing T1/E1, DSL or cable connections.
In connection with the launch of the products, Patton is offering a channel-partner webinar on Wednesday 15 August.
Patton offers VoIP gateways and VoIP routers for industrial automation systems. Recently the company was tasked with modernizing an offshore oil rig to connect to an all-IP transport network. To provide the right solution, Patton designed a solution that included multi-port analog VoIP gateway routers, Ethernet extension devices, managed multiport RS-232 Async.-Over-IP Statistical Multiplexers, and Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) switches. All functions were provided by Patton as one integrated solution housed in an environmentally-hardened cabinet.
