Having just recently launched the SmartNode 10200 VoIP media gateway series for large enterprise call centers and carriers at ITEXPO (News - Alert) in Miami a couple of weeks ago, Patton added the high-capacity solution to expand its portfolio beyond its former 2-to-120-call range. Now the company ventures into the world of carrier core, edge, and peer network infrastructure, as well as large enterprises and call centers.
Patton (News - Alert) has traditionally worked with carriers on business-class SME services such as SIP trunking and branch office telephony. The SmartNode 10200 Series launch unveiled Patton’s new VoIP SmartMedia Gateways that will now offer 512 to 2,048 voice channels with options for 16 to 64 T1/E1, 1 to 3 DS3, or 1 STM-1 in a 2U chassis.
Burt Patton, executive vice president for the company, recently noted, "The global network is still converging. Although legacy equipment is aging, it provides reliable service. Traditional PSTNs still generate revenues and profits. Carriers need classic TDM and advanced IP networks to interconnect and interoperate, and our SmartNode 10200 is the industry’s most reliable—and cost-effective—solution.”
Patton is quickly moving up the ranks of VoIP gateway providers with these scaled solutions for large enterprise services and governments.
Officials at Patton noted that the SmartNode 10200 expands the company’s reach onto the carrier as the Media Gateway (News - Alert) is a key component for applications at the Carrier operational level as well as in connecting advanced value-added services. For more information on the details, Patton has drawn up a data sheet.
Bolstering its launch of this new solution, Patton is offering a special pre-ordering discount of 10 percent below Tier 1 pricing through March 15. The company is holding a webinar on February 28 at 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. ET for those interested in the features, applications, and roadmap of the SmartNode 10200 series.
Additionally, Patton's SmartNode recently won the INTERNET TELEPHONY 2011 Product of the Year award, maintaining a seven-year winning streak for the VoIP-equipment brand. Check out the helpful training webinars to gain more insight into how the new solutions are changing the VoIP gateway market.
