In a recent research report, “North American Mobile VoIP Market 2010-2014," MarketResearch.com estimates the North American Mobile VoIP market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 57 percent over the period of 2010-2014, driven mainly by the need to reduce the cost of communication. Also, the increasing competition among vendors of Mobile VoIP  will result in further price reduction, according to the research.

However, the growth of VoIP in North America is being hindered by the increasing concerns about data security.
