Comstor Singapore Picks #1 VoIP Enabler for Risk-free, Quick & Easy UC Deployment

By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor

Looking to take advantage of the many benefits offered by Unified Communications, or “UC,” a Westcon Group (News - Alert) member announced it partnered with an Ontario, Canada-based provider of risk-free IP telephony infrastructure offerings.

Officials with Comstor, Singapore, said they chose Phybridge (News - Alert) for their UniPhyer solution based on feedback from Westcon Canada, and for the solutions ability to quickly and easily deploy UC without network or business disruptions.

Also, the company wanted a solution that didn’t require installation of a separate cable plant or network switches and that didn’t have both voice and data on the same network.

“We are converting partially the digital phones to Cisco (News - Alert) IP phones. And I must say it is really a plug and play experience” said Michael Long, solution sales manager for Comstor.

UniPhyer offered an answer because it turns an IP-PBX (News - Alert) telephone deployment into a plug and play installation so businesses can leverage UC at lower costs and with minimal disruption. To do so, the offering leverages existing telephony cabling as a dedicated voice path and works in parallel with existing LAN.

Aside from cost savings, the company also looked to UniPhyer for a graceful migration, simple UPS management, a dedicated physical path for voice without any configuration and a quick overnight deployment with no disruptions.
