Officials at both companies say that together, their offerings provide carriers and enterprises with a robust, cost-effective and advanced way to improve VoiceXML performance for better SMS, audio conferencing, IVR and outbound dialling functions.
According to Chris Gravett, sales and marketing director at Aculab (News
), the combination of SPOT and Prosody X provides platform and solution providers with zero performance limitations and a distinct advantage compared to proprietary APIs.

Aculab’s Prosody product line provides VoIP and PSTN solution developers with call control signalling, digital network connectivity and advance media processing capabilities.
New VoiceXML enhancements for SPOT version 6.12 include a consultation transfer capability and a unique session ID for CCXML as well as the ability to query active session IDs in the event of failover.
