I caught up with Aculab after the show to find out more about their overall experience.
Can you share one or two particularly noteworthy interactions you had during ITEXPO (News - Alert)?
We had several excellent meetings with existing customers and new prospects alike, including an informal chat with another exhibitor that has led to the possibility of working together in a partnership.
We also met with a visitor at the booth who was a qualified prospect. He was Russian and his company was based in Russia, we did not expect that sort of international opportunity.
Based on interactions with customers, partners, and competitors at ITEXPO, how would you summarize the current market for VoIP Developers?
As VoIP continues to grow, the diversity of IP-enabled voice products is now very broad. Also, the world continues to move towards wholesale IP telephony and VoIP has a strong position in many traditionally TDM-based product areas as well as a foothold in many more. There was something of a buzz around the exhibition especially on the first day, which was surprising considering what was going on in the world at large. The mood amongst delegates/visitors continued to be more upbeat than I expected.
How would you summarize what Aculab gained by attending ITEXPO?
We achieved great coverage, with a broad spectrum of players within the telecommunications/IP markets and had first rate meetings and excellent networking opportunities.
We also had excellent exposure and brand awareness and had a multitude of pre-arranged meetings with prospects and customers, which meant cost effective progress through the sales cycle.
Also, our presence and branding at the event helped us by subconsciously supporting our customers/prospects decisions to choose us as a viable supplier.
If you had to give one reason why it was important for Aculab to attend ITEXPO this year, what would it be?
Because ITEXPO is hailed as being the premier event of its kind on the West Coast, it was an obvious choice. Not only is it the premier show for VoIP, where you are able to meet existing customers in one place, it is also a great place to learn from all the free conference tracks and keynotes. We truly believe that it is now the foremost conference and exhibition for our industry on the West Coast.
