Aculab (News - Alert), a provider of enabling technology for solution providers and VoIP developers, together with telephony solutions developer, Skunkworks, have announced that Whirlwind telephony software is now available for a free trial download.

 

The free trial is a bid to get users to start switching calls on Prosody X cards, "in just 10 minutes," and answers to the needs of today's telephony businesses—allowing them to build and deploy new services on Prosody X cards quickly and cost effectively.

Users simply install the Prosody X telephony card into a server running Centos 4.5 Linux OS, then download 4 ports of the free trial Whirlwind carrier to start quickly switching calls.
