While many other call center and customer relationship management, or “CRM,” providers align their services with a manufacturer, SIP-based VoIP call recording provider, SIP Print’s (News - Alert) systems work simultaneously with other call center applications.
SIP Print’s VoIP call recording system is a standalone 1u server computer that fits any communications VoIP/SIP model. Why is this so? SIP Print’s CEO Don Palmer (News - Alert) explains.
“Because SIP Print is SIP-based and listens to RTP traffic and is not geared to listen to a manufacturer’s specific protocol, SIP Print can then utilize our own SIP protocol to record,” Palmer said, rather than having to go through the manufacturers requirements.
And, in order to capture the company’s own protocol, SIP Print uses an “open source” SIP system as a means to deliver its own service in a fully integrated platform.
If SIP Print provides a more universal platform for its services, does the cost increase? According to Palmer, absolute not.
“The telephone will actually change more and more to a ‘pure’ SIP-based application where everyone will be utilizing a SIP device,” Palmer said.
In fact, Palmer actually predicts the costs to decrease within the SIP Print VoIP call recording system offers.
“Soon, people will be able to walk in the office with their cell phone and then transfer to their sip phone on the desktop and/or their soft phone and continue the call,” Palmer said. “So costs will decrease and be more effective for business by utilizing SIP technology.”
And, with this potential new system, SIP Print will be able to then record any of these types of applications, thus lowering the cost for the consumers.
By offering its systems this way, does SIP Print help or hurt its sales?
“Because SIP Print records the SIP protocol set forth by the International Forum, this gives us a leg up on any competition,” Palmer said. “It opens the door for more SMB owners to have a choice in what communications system best fits their needs and a choice to protect their businesses with recording by using SIP Print’s technology and not get boxed in with a manufacturer that may or may not end up supporting them.”
So, for SMBs looking to purchase the best communications platform for their CRM needs, SIP Print’s all-in-one system is a way to ensure an effective way to contact customers and effectively manage business operations.
