In today’s world, it’s all about the here and now. We want to be able to check flight statuses on our smartphones, order food through a device, and be able to work remotely all while keeping track of our emails, appointments, and text messages.
It can be hard, but what makes life a little easier are the apps that people have developed to keep us connected 24/7. Once company, Timico, recently announced it has launched a new Android (News - Alert) application that will allow users to take VoIP on the road. The advantage? Imagine not being at work yet being able to answer work calls, connect to meetings with your boss, and have audio chats with someone from half way around the world? Make sense now?
This application is designed to allow employees to transfer calls, put users on hold, access instant messages, and even receive video calls wherever they are.
“With recent figures showing that 80 percent of time on mobiles is spent inside apps, it’s important for us to respond to the needs of customers and stay ahead of the curve,” said Charlie Whelpton, director unified communications at Timico. “Remote working is going from strength-to-strength, but that doesn’t have to mean a reduction in function or utilities.”
“Our new app responds to these needs and helps our customers remain agile and adaptive to change.”
This application will also allow for voice recording ability which is a huge safety feature needed to make sure all business deals are handled in the proper way and/or customer service calls are able to be monitored. The more business calls and personal conversations happening on a phone line the more need for the extra security for the call to be recorded. It can allow employers to pull back to the tape at any time.
With all of these capabilities literally at people’s fingertips for such a small cost, it’s not a surprise that the number of businesses that keep deploying similar systems is continually on the rise.
