DSP Group, Inc. (DSPG) recently announced that its CAT-iq 2.0 DECT (News - Alert) chipset solutions have been selected by ZTE Corp. for developing a next-generation home gateway (HGW), enhanced with HD voice capabilities.
ZTE (News - Alert) Corp. is an expert in telecommunications equipment, network solutions and mobile devices. DSP Group is a specialist wireless chipset solutions provider for converged communications.

Through its network of operators spanning 140 countries, ZTE provides its customers with a broad range of innovative products and solutions. The new triple-play home gateway from ZTE, designed essentially for leading operators, can easily integrate with DSP Group's DECT CAT-iq module, ensuring the delivery of HD voice quality and network services to home handsets.
The handsets are perfectly compatible with the home gateway support shared phonebook, call log access and multi-line services, in addition to firmware upgradability and crystal-clear wideband voice, among other features.
Alex Sin, corporate vice president of Sales at DSP Group, said that, "Integrating our DECT solution with ZTE's advanced home gateways allows telcos to increase their voice and broadband offerings with fully-featured DECT handsets. The evolving DECT ULE standard will soon allow telcos to seamlessly upgrade home gateways and control the smart home through DECT-powered home automation, monitoring and control devices.”
