RCA is foraying into the VoIP phone market by an alliance with North American supplier of VoIP equipment and solutions, VoIP Supply. VoIP Supply has added RCA VoIP Phones to its portfolio and has begun to offer the IP110 and IP120 phones to the customers.
One of the largest manufacturers in the multi-line and DECT (News - Alert) analog phone market, RCA is stepping out of the analog world and entering into the VoIP phone world with these two new phones.
The RCA IP110 is a two line phone with a 2×15 characters display and the second phone is a three line phone with a 123×64 display. Both the phones share a similar form factor, have a built in full duplex speaker phone and support a range of voice codecs including G.722 for HD voice, dual LAN/WAN RJ45 ports. The IP110 and IP120 phones also feature a RJ9 headset jack with support for electronic hook switch (EHS) but do not support PoE.
VoIP Supply noted that anyone searching for a VoIP phone can use RCA VoIP Phones. These phones can also support all of the most common telephony functions and have large easy to navigate keys.
“RCA makes their first inroads into the VoIP phone market” said Garrett Smith (News - Alert), chief marketing officer at VoIP Supply. "The notion of RCA VoIP phones may be new but, RCA's been a major player in the analog and DECT phone markets so, their history easily speaks for itself."
VoIP Supply was in news earlier this month for announcing the addition of Sony Video Conferencing systems to its extensive VoIP and Unified Communications (News - Alert) (UC) catalog.
