Clarus Systems Announces Positive Fiscal Year Performance

By David Sims, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Officials of Clarus Systems (News - Alert), which sells integrated Voice over IP (VoIP) management software and services, have announced that the company achieved "a positive performance" for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2010.

A privately held corporation, Clarus experienced "significant growth in customers and revenue, while contracted bookings almost doubled," company officials said, adding that the company is cash flow positive. "For 2010, our business execution continued to hit our aggressive targets from a corporate and technology standpoint," said Brendan F. Reidy, CEO, Clarus.

Some highlights from the year mentioned by company officials:

Clarus Systems' contracted booking in 2010 were 177 percent of 2009 bookings. Revenues in 2010 were 130 percent of 2009 revenues.

The company saw “impressive" sales momentum in 2010, with "significant wins of household name global companies in healthcare, financial services and government," with contracts to deliver monitoring and testing functionality to keep their unified communications systems running. Clarus Systems extended their coverage and market reach through a growing array of partnerships, including large Telco's, Cisco, HP, and Microsoft.

In April TMC's (News - Alert) Jai C.S. wrote that Clarus Systems signed an agreement with Microsoft to create value-added testing and monitoring solutions for Microsoft Communications Server 14.

Microsoft’s Communications Server 14 is the follow-up to the Office Communications Server 2007 R2 and is said to offer a robust platform for Unified Communications (News - Alert) and Collaboration. “The relationship between Clarus Systems and Microsoft is a direct response to feedback from our enterprise customers and our strategic alliances,” said Brendan F. Reidy at the time.

Also in 2010, Clarus Systems expanded its platform coverage by adding monitoring for Cisco (News - Alert) Unity Connection, Cisco Unified Presence Server, and Cisco Contact Center Express, as well as intelligent configuration analysis capabilities letting customers identify and fix configuration errors that could lead to service outages.
