Voice broadcast & auto dialer system provider CallFire has just released a new API that allows you to search through their inventory of toll free and local numbers, and "enable the purchase of the numbers of your choice," company officials say.
In a statement the company lists the parameters for searching phone numbers. You'll have to go to the site for the code, but the apikey is required - "This is your account api key," and the npa is optional, the Area Code for a local number search.
The "isTollFree" is optional, needs to be "true "if you want to search for Toll Free and listSize is also optional, as the number of results to list is 50 maximum.
Earlier this month, TMC's (News - Alert) Kelly McGuire wrote that "events are taking place all over the world in efforts to be on the heels of all the mobile news, and the May 7th ReadWriteWeb Mobile Summit, will be sponsored by many companies in the industry, including auto dialer and voice broadcast provider CallFire."
At the summit, topics including mobile social networking, geo-location services, and the difference between native applications versus browser-based apps will be discussed, she said:
"Supporting the conversation are an amazing set of sponsors who are not only committed to releasing products that are shaping the future of mobile but also supporting that conversation," company officials said, adding that the first 3 sponsors of the summit - CallFire, Alcatel-Lucent (News - Alert) and World Mate - are all outstanding parts of the program.
Earlier this year TMC reported that in last year's November elections, in Santa Barbara, California, the Democrat Party initiated some Get Out the Vote efforts to reach out to households in order to persuade and connect with the potential voters.
In addition to door to door, in-person connections, and printed mailings, the Democratic party knew that going above and beyond was the only way to really have their message hit home with the public.
So, in order to achieve results, the company employed California-based CallFire to deploy an aggressive phonebanking campaign.
With CallFire's auto dialing product volunteers on the campaign were able to reach roughly 3,000 self-identified potential voters through a disposition question in an earlier CallFire call.
