Global IP Solutions (GIPS), a provider of IP multimedia processing solutions, has announced that the company’s Vice President of Engineering, Dr. Jan Linden will deliver three presentations next week during Technology Marketing Corporation’s (TMC (News - Alert)) INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & Expo East 2009.

At the ITEXPO (News - Alert), Linden will first hold a panel discussion on the topic of “Conferencing/ Collaboration and Telepresence as Part of a UC Strategy.”

He is also expected to take part in a special conference luncheon with TMC President Rich Tehrani (News - Alert), entitled, “HD – What's the noise and are we ready?”

Additionally, during a standalone session, Linden will talk about integrating voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) applications onto smartphones, including the iPhone (News - Alert).

Linden said that he plans to discuss the technological advances of voice and video processing in IP communications. In addition, he will explain how service providers, application developers and equipment manufacturers can ensure a high quality experience, even under adverse network conditions, and across various platforms from the desktop to mobile devices.

TMC's ITEXPO East is one of the best-attended IP Communications trade shows. It is scheduled to be held at the Miami Beach Convention Center from February 2-4.

A veteran of the industry, Linden has been conducting research and development in speech processing and communications for the last 16 years. He holds a Ph.D. and a M.S. in electrical engineering from Chalmers University of Technology and has filed several patents.

Prior to his stint with GIP, he was with the University of California, Santa Barbara and SignalCom.

“I'm looking forward to presenting at ITEXPO to address the exciting evolution of real-time collaborative IP communications and conferencing while underscoring the importance of a high quality experience for end users,” said Linden.

GIPS is a company offering voice and video processing in IP communications. The company serves application developers, wired and wireless service providers and network and telecommunications equipment vendors.

Earlier this week, GIPS signed an OEM license and distribution agreement with Citrix Online (News - Alert), a division of Citrix Systems.
