With 21 days left to the 2016 presidential election, companies that provide the communication solutions for the two major parties and their surrogates are experiencing unprecedented volumes. For CallFire, which offers voice and text connectivity to businesses and political organizations, keeping track of its infrastructure is critical for ensuring its customers don't experience any downtime.  To make sure this doesn't happen, the company has selected BlazeMeter to maintain optimum platform performance levels during the waning days of the elections.

Digital brands, which now includes both political parties, are integrating testing into their delivery systems as part of their business strategy to ensure the best customer experience possible. With the right testing parameters, these brands can have a system in place for automated performance testing during the development and deployment of any new service.

"The CallFire story is an example of how testing consistently allows DevOps teams to change course and solve hidden problems before they have a critical impact," said Alon Girmonsky, CEO and Founder of BlazeMeter.

For CallFire, which is managing more than 30,000 simultaneous calls with its US election solution, any downtime can be very costly. The company provides a wide range of communication solutions, including voice and text messaging, automated calling, call tracking and interactive voice response (IVR) for some of the largest brands in the world. It currently has more than 100,000 businesses, including Adobe (News - Alert), Gap, Mattel, NBC Universal, NFL, and Pfizer, who rely on these solutions. Whether it is a marketing campaign for one of these brands or a politician, the company has to manage thousands of simultaneous calls and messages.

With BlazeMeter, CallFire can manage high volume of traffic and continuously test a wide range of scenarios so it can analyze traffic patterns and observe the impact of load on different systems. Using open source testing tools and APM (News - Alert) technologies, BlazeMeter can give CallFire a more transparent picture of any potential impact the traffic will have on performance at any given time.

“The stakes are raised for us this year, as more business creates a critical need for performance,” said Sean Gera, strategic analyst at CallFire. “We have particularly high-profile clientele this year, and we want to keep those clients for the next election season. Providing high performance is the way to do that.”

According to CallFire several high profile political candidates and activist groups use its platform in an election year. With volumes that exceed even the most popular marketing campaign, the deluge of calls during a presidential election can test the limitations of even the most robust infrastructure. During this particularly heated election, BlazeMeter will provide CallFire with the tools it needs to make sure every call goes through.
