The concept of shared space has been around for some time providing individuals and small companies a fully furnished facility with all the bells and whistles without having to sign a long term lease. Depending on the organization, these spaces can be leased on an hourly basis with certain minimums. HappyDesk Sharing-Space-as-a-Service (Saas) software was created to bring the companies in the shared space industry and coordinate their resources to make them more efficient and provide better service for their customers. The company announced it has introduced enterprise-grade software to change how shared space is sold, accessed and serviced.

The shared space industry generated close to $11 billion last year, according to the Global Workplace Association estimates, and it predicts more growth for the industry. Although the market is large, it is fragmented, with inefficiencies across the board.

The HappyDesk software is a peer-to-peer platform designed to provide new opportunities for consumers and businesses so they can collaborate and conduct transactions in real-time without the need of intermediaries.

As the shared economy continues to grow, having a platform that is able to bring the service provider and the end user can expedite the long and tedious process of looking for the right temporary space. HappyDesk says it has assembled experts in technology, commercial real estate and mobile to come up with this solution.

The new software gives services providers everything they need to operate their business with customization capabilities. The software includes white-label e-commerce, CRM, billing, proposal templates and door access technology. It brings hundreds of service providers across four continents. allowing users to reserve the right space with each successive destination.

Each transaction can be completed online with just a few clicks and the customer receives a code to access the space, phone service and Wi-Fi. Additional services can also be requested depending on the need of the customer. When a session is over, the system discontinues access and issues a bill.

HappyDesk has four products that address the shared space ecosystem enabling workspace providers to sell virtual offices, meeting rooms and offices on-line. They are Virtual2Go, Workspace2Go, AccessControl2Go, and Billing2Go.

"Momentum (News - Alert) for the industry is strong as organizations – both big and small – allow their staff to work in an environment and location that best suits each individual. Our software enhances the connection between parties, eliminating the middleman allowing for an easy real-time transaction," said Dale Hersowitz, HappyDesk’s Co-Founder.
