InterCall (News - Alert), a provider of conferencing and collaboration services, announced integration of Blue Jeans Network video with InterCall Reservationless-Plus audio conferencing, enabling organizations to deliver a collaboration platform that makes anywhere anytime meeting possible from any device.

Video conferencing and collaboration is gaining popularity because face-to-face communication helps people connect meaningfully, reducing hostility, fostering empathy and improving communication. A recent MIT (News - Alert) Sloan Management Review finds that 75 percent of all businesses will use collaboration technology tools in 2013 and nearly 90 percent will employ them by 2015.

Reservationless-Plus from InterCall, as the name suggests, gives users the power to host conference calls anywhere in the world on any type of device without any reservation. All they have to do is to pick up their phone, dial their dedicated number, conference code and PIN to initiate a call.

Participants can easily click-to-join from anywhere on any device including traditional phone lines and mobile devices or by video and experience the high quality audio and video conferencing that they expect.

To be precise, the combination of Reservationless-Plus and Blue Jeans service now enables up to 175 people using a mix of audio and video to participate in a single conference. It makes meetings easier to schedule, join and experience regardless of whether people connect from traditional phone lines, mobile devices or by video.

The combined solution provides simple scheduling with one tool for video and audio meetings. It features one common code, one meeting invitation and multiple ways to join. Additional in-meeting controls such as a list of participants, active talkers and mute/un-mute capabilities. The solution delivers high-quality voice for both audio-only and video attendees.

“Our company is fulfilling the appetite for face-to-face communication by delivering an easy-to-use, scalable solution,” said Krish Ramakrishnan, CEO of Blue Jeans Network, in a statement.

“The combination of Blue Jeans Network’s rapid growth in the video conferencing market along with InterCall’s global presence and strength in the audio conferencing industry is creating an unstoppable force,” Ramakrishnan added.

Blue Jeans Network has captured more than 30 percent of the video conferencing market in just over two years of its launch, thanks to the unique cloud models and its ability to connect users across a variety of platforms.
