BlackBerry Addresses Crisis Communications Demand

When disaster strikes; communications are critical. Maintaining clear communications in crisis is vital, and as the workforce migrated home, and the world as we knew it, changed business technology was put to the test.

This week, BlackBerry Limited announced BlackBerry AtHoc Managed Service, which provides a full featured BlackBerry AtHoc System as a managed service that can be fully deployed within 48 hours.

"Keeping employees safe and business operating, particularly during this time, requires accurate and responsive critical communication," said Christoph Erdmann, Senior Vice President of Secure Communications at BlackBerry.

Once implemented, the managed service will offer users around the clock crisis management communications, support and alerts that can be easily customized to notify customers, agencies or enterprises leveraging the ATHoc platfrom with pertinent information.

Companies can address business, and leave emergency communications to the BlackBerry service. The platform offers clear, concise communications during chaotic times, like a global pandemic, for instance.

Erdmann continued, "We are incredibly pleased to offer the same services proven by some of the most demanding environments including 12 FedRAMP ATOs from United States Federal agencies including the Department of Energy, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Justice, Federal Aviation Administration, Department of Treasury, and Department of Veterans Affairs as well as Parliament of Canada, Global Affairs Canada, Port of Houston and the American Red Cross, to organizations of every size.
