Three in five workers say they don’t need to be in the office to be productive. That’s probably in large part because mobile devices and other technology now make it easy for workers to connect with the applications, people, and other resources they need to get the job done.

Softphones are among the tools that make remote work possible, increasing productivity in the process. That’s why UC solutions provider Audian has partnered with CounterPath, which offers the Bria softphone solutions.

Audian will use CounterPath’s Bria Stretto with its own hosted phone system. The Bria softphone works on desktop computers, mobile devices, and tablets. And the interface is the same regardless of which device or operating system the worker uses.

“The beauty of CounterPath’s Bria Stretto solution is that it integrates easily into our software-first approach to building voice solutions, ensuring we continue to add features, but remove the hassles typically associated with telecom,” says Audian CEO Brandon Bazemore.

Todd Carothers, CounterPath’s executive vice president of sales and marketing, adds: “Audian’s responsive and modern approach to VoIP solutions is a perfect fit for our softphone solutions. The Bria Stretto solution has been purpose-built for our channel partners to offer a high-quality end user experience to small, medium and large businesses. Bria Stretto provides Audian and its customers a fully partitioned environment that can be tailored to the needs of each individual enterprise.”

CounterPath is a public company out of Vancouver, BC. Founded in 2002,

CounterPath's product suite today includes fixed mobile convergence solutions, server applications, and SIP-based softphones. The company caters to enterprises, including Uber; OEMs, including Avaya, Cisco, inContact, Metaswitch, and Ribbon Communications; and service providers, including AT&T, Bell Canada, BT, and Rogers.

Audian, which is out of Kirkland, Wash., opened for business as Persephone in October of 2013. It rebranded to Audian in May of 2015 and introduced a new phone system a few months later.
