The cloud was once a murky proposition. However, this burgeoning technology is playing a vital role in the digital transformation taking place. From networking to communications and more, the cloud is powering evolution via performance, cost savings and flexibility. This week, AudioCodes unveiled a new solution for Microsoft Cloud PBX environments.

CCE Hub was developed by AudioCodes with interconnectivity in mind, as the Cloud Connector Edition (CCE) connects IP-PBX, existing PBX, SIP trunks and PSTN. Now, CCE servers need only be in the data center – a central location. With the AudioCodes CCE Hub solution in place, firms no longer need to worry about voice interconnectivity, with multi-site cloud PBX deployments simplified, scalable and at a pocket-friendly price point.

"Our collaboration with AudioCodes continues to evolve, and we are pleased to see their continued innovation and powerful solutions being introduced to market," said Tiffany Wissner, Senior Director, Skype for Business Product Marketing at Microsoft Corp. "The combination of Microsoft and AudioCodes technologies in one 'box' helps to reduce time to value when deploying Microsoft Cloud PBX and enhance the PBX capabilities by adding intelligent routing."

In leveraging a cloud PBX, service providers and the enterprise can facilitate more flexible voice services, and take advantage of the AudioCodes portfolio of session border controllers, as well as both analog and digital gateways to aid in deployment.

"By enabling centralized deployment of Cloud Connector Edition at enterprise or service provider datacenters, Microsoft has increased Cloud PBX's ability to offer a full cloud-based telephony service," said Nimrode Borovsky, VP Marketing at AudioCodes. "Our CCE Hub solution leverages centralized Cloud Connector Edition environments by providing a comprehensive package of software and hardware products that simplifies deployments, increases flexibility and contributes to lower total cost of ownership."

The future forecast for innovation is cloudy (hold the meatballs). Development determines what direction digital transformation takes, but don’t be mistaken: it’s cloud or bust.
