Evolve IP, a cloud services company designed to give businesses a unified option for cloud services, allows companies to migrate all or select IT technologies to its cloud platform. The company provides services to several different industries including healthcare, legal, insurance, banking, technology, travel, veterinary medicine, retail and even food. Most recently, MatchBoxFoodGroup (MBFG), a restaurant group with three unique brands—Matchbox, DC-3 and Ted’s Bulletin—and 15 current locations ,decided to replace its own legacy PBX with Evolve IP’s cloud IP communications services.

Some may wonder how restaurants could benefit from cloud technology. Admittedly, it’s not the first industry that comes to mind when thinking about cloud services. Well, MBFG is utilizing Evolve IP to bring customers a one-of-a-kind branded experience. They are all about customer service, and with the new system in place, they can ensure that patrons get the best experience possible every single time they dine at one of the restaurants. MBFG has chosen to equip its corporate office and recently built restaurant locations with the IP cloud communications so that restaurant group associates can quickly answer customer calls, transfer calls to different locations easily and reach operational groups, such as catering or sales, via their mobile devices.

While the system is only available in a few locations for now, MBFG is looking to include the IP phone systems in all their future restaurants, including two Matchbox locations that will open this month. Eventually, this technology will be used to upgrade all of their current restaurants as well.

Any restaurant-goer would be happy about this upgrade. Everyone likes to eat out, but having to wait on the line for a reservation, for example, is never fun. Evolve IP is helping groups like MBFG solve these problems, thus making the dining experience better for everyone.

Scott Kinka, chief technology and product officer and founding partner of Evolve IP, weighed in on how Evolve IP can have an impact on customer experience by saying, “In the restaurant industry, IT teams and management need to carefully consider how technology deployments can improve guest services.” He continued, “We’re pleased that our advanced cloud-based communications systems are helping MatchBoxFoodGroup deliver on their promise to give customers an exceptional experience.”
