Dialpad Adds Services and Brings Pure Cloud Communications to Japan

Cloud communications delivers the flexibility and agility that is needed to bring together all of the resources of an organization with greater efficiency than traditional on premises systems. This is especially the case for large enterprises that have a global presence. As one of the most developed countries in the world, Japan is the headquarters of some of the largest enterprises in the world, which is in part why Dialpad entered the Japanese market, making it the first pure cloud communications provider in the country.

The company, which has been growing at an incredible pace in its short five years also announced it has hired former Softbank executive Tenshi Adachi as President and Country Manager of Dialpad Japan.

The growth of Dialpad has been meteoric. After raising more than $53 million over three rounds of funding along with its partnership with Google for Work, it was able to acquire some of the largest brands in the world as its customers, including Netflix, Uber, Fairchild Semiconductor, Motorola and 25,000 others.

This growth can be attributed to delivering 15 major releases in 19 months, which is made possible with its cloud infrastructure that leverages the WebRTC Framework on the Google Cloud Platform. This flexibility allows the company to deliver voice, video, SMS and MMS messaging for in and out of network communications and UberConference.

UberConference is an enterprise-grade HD audio conferencing system that provides seamless screen sharing with feature rich call controls from any device without PINs or downloads. According to Dialpad, it has the only enterprise solution that combines voice, video, instant messaging, text and online meetings that is 100 percent free of on-premises servers and storage.

"No other company is delivering this approach, with the same complete, optimal experience for office-based, remote and mobile users. Our latest series of innovations empower customers to discard their desk phones and move away from the old players in the market, such as RingCentral and Cisco, that still leave their customers dependent on old and irrelevant desktop technology," said Vincent Paquet, Vice President of Product at Dialpad.

The move to Japan gives the company presence in the Asia-Pacific region. In addition to the announcement of its Japanese location, Dialpad also introduced new improvements to its product line, including a tablet app, advanced analytics, integrated group and multimedia messaging, and more.

These new additions will give today's modern workers the ability to connect with each other and collaborate no matter where they are or what device they're using. This type of seamless connectivity is essential as large enterprises expand to different regions around the world and leave the traditional desk top behind.
