Zebra Telecom Tweaks Virtual PBX

Those who have used virtual private branch exchange (PBX) systems generally find such welcome, useful additions to most any office environment. Zebra Telecom, meanwhile, has taken an already good thing and made it even better with a set of new cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions to improve corporate telephony and make the already-potent PBX even better.

Zebra Telecom completed development in April 2015, and in November of that year, completed open test and switching for current subscribers to the updated platform. The completion of the project brought with it a whole load of new subscribers, as the company recorded gains of three times the subscriber count at the beginning of the year by the end of it.

Business services are front and center with Zebra Telecom, including some new features for customer relationship management (CRM) tools. Creating a kind of bridge between CRM and PBX, Zebra Telecom allows for specific call routing options, as well as the ability to readily share call history, including call recordings. Several use plans offer a variety of different options and allow businesses to better tailor purchasing to what's needed at the time, with upgrades possible later.

It's easy to see how cloud-based services are becoming an ever-larger part of operations, and cloud-based telephony and other such services are just a piece of the puzzle. Even just offering communications services has value, but Zebra Telecom is improving things all the more by connecting it to CRM systems and the like. Business needs to get information out of its current siloed state and put more of it into more hands throughout the company; a move like this could be just what's needed to make that dissemination happen. Giving sales information to marketing, accounting, and the other departments can have a great impact, and Zebra Telecom may well be helping to drive that move.

Zebra Telecom has already made quite a name for itself as it sits, but it likely will be able to improve on that the farther along it goes. More options and better information spread certainly can't hurt it.
