VirtualPBX, Yealink Partner to Offer SIP-T21P Phone

VirtualPBX, a provider of VoIP software and services, has announced that it is expanding its VoIP hardware offerings to include Yealink’s SIP-T21P handset.

“Going with Yealink’s SIP-T21P was an easy decision for us based on the overall quality of the company’s previous products and their compatibility with our most robust VoIP service plan options,” VirtualPBX COO Lon Baker said.

The San Francisco-based company cited the phone’s dual Ethernet ports, high sound quality and LCD display as reasons for including it in its list of recommended equipment.

While VoIP is inherently flexible, letting people make calls on their computers or mobile devices, the regular desktop phone form factor still has a place in modern offices. Even with smartphones displacing landlines for many people, especially millennials, business phones are often better suited for office work, as connections rarely drop as with mobile phones. This is crucial in high-volume operations such as call centers.

VoIP software and service providers certify certain devices because software and hardware for crucial business functions has to work reliably. Delays in getting phone service up and running is simply unacceptable for most businesses.

As VoIP has brought greater flexibility at lower prices to phone service, phone hardware manufacturers like Yealink have been following suit.

“From smaller offices looking for a reliable phone capable of an array of functions to national calling centers in need of a workhorse phone for the entire enterprise, Yealink offers a great product at an affordable price,” Baker said.

The need for reliable hardware and software for VoIP has led to vendors like VirtualPBX and Yealink seeing themselves as complementing each other’s offerings.
