Indosoft (News - Alert), which provides multi-tenant call center software for Asterisk, has announced a new deployment of its solution. AZCI.net, an Arizona-based wireless ISP, has successfully deployed Indosoft's iHostPBX. The deployment is expected to allow AZCI.net to expand into VoIP phone services and offer Indosoft's “ePhone” VoIP phone service to customers.
iHostPBX from Indosoft is a multi-tenant, multi-box PBX (News - Alert) wrapper for Asterisk telephony, and is an integral component of its call center automatic call distributor (ACD) called Q-Suite. Asterisk is an open-source software implementation of a telephone private branch exchange (PBX). It was developed in 1999, by telecom technology company Digium.
Indosoft, which bases its technology around Asterisk (News - Alert), developed its multi-tenant PBX wrapper to complement its call center ACD. Its features an easy to use graphical user interface (GUI), and offers users the ability to scale to multiple Asterisk servers. This feature is expected to help AZCI.net offer VoIP-based telephony services that can grow with demand while remaining affordable.
“As an established wireless ISP with coverage extending across an extremely large and rural area, we were looking to add reliable VoIP telephony services for our customers,” said Greg Friedman, owner and CTO of AZCI.net. “To deliver a superior service, we designed an architecture that allowed all voice traffic to stay within our managed network. We were well aware of the popularity of Asterisk as a VoIP telephony platform and found Indosoft offering a rich multi-tenant product with a powerful, user friendly GUI. With turnkey installation, the added value of customization and unmatched support, everything pointed to Indosoft. We found the best solution and the greatest value for our investment. The successful launch of our VoIP telephone service was completed with a great degree of ease and proves that Indosoft is clearly the best in class.”
“Q-Suite has established itself as the leading multi-tenant call center ACD software for Asterisk and provides effortless migrations to Asterisk,” said James Terhune (News - Alert), CTO of Indosoft. “The incorporation of PBX wrapper within the call center software leverages the advantages of established PBX features within Asterisk. Q-Suite can now fulfill multiple roles within the communications and call center industry. The multi-tenant, multi-box capability built into Q-Suite is well suited to accommodate on-going growth in organizations like AZCI.net. Q-Suite's unmatched scalability allows organizations to simply add additional Asterisk servers as needed. From complete call center ACD functionality to a full-featured PBX with all the new bells and whistles of modern telephony, Q-Suite delivers the tools to achieve success when migrating to Asterisk and IP telephony.”
