Votacall's Disaster Recovery Plan is a Boon for National Development
By Robbie Pleasant, TMCnet Contributor
When National Development needed a telecommunications solution for its new properties, it turned to Votacall. The reason is simple: not only is it cost effective and flexible, but it provides a robust set of mobility features with a disaster recovery plan.
National Development is a real estate development and property management firm, so it needed a solution that would keep communication online and efficient during an emergency. Fortunately, the Votacall Hosted VoIP solution provided just what they needed, and proved its worth during Hurricane Sandy.
Votacall provides anywhere access and control for end users, which proved useful not only during the storm, but during the average day as well. As it’s a managed solution, they had access to the technical team, and didn’t have to worry about anything being blown out during the storm.
“The Votacall Hosted VoIP solution allowed us to have uninterrupted communication with our tenants during the storm," says Greg Gagne, Property Manager. "With a hosted VoIP solution, we were able to create and update a power outage hotline that tenants could access 24x7 to receive critical updates on the status of power in their buildings."
Without Votacall’s Disaster Recovery, things might have gone much worse for National Development’s tenants. With it, though, they managed to keep in touch and stay safe during the disaster without losing their service. For that, National Development and its customers are thankful to Votacall.
