Allied Global, a provider of contact center and business process outsourcing services, recently acquired Marketlink Inc., a specialist in outsourced teleservices solutions. This merger is expected to result in a bigger and more efficient full service contact center that can deliver inbound, outbound, e-mail and chat services.
Manuel Gordo, CEO of Allied Global, remarked, “Allied Global’s resources and extensive customer care experience will provide a platform to further build upon Marketlink’s reputation and Fortune 500 client base. These resources will greatly expand the scope and breadth of services provided to Marketlink’s clients.”
Allied Global operates 19 contact centers situated in the United States, Canada, Guatemala and Honduras. Contact center and BPO solutions provided by the company serve the needs of multiple verticals such as telecommunications, hospitality, cable and entertainment, energy, utilities and technology. Allied Global also offers customer service, technical support, sales, customer retention and cultivation services.
“This acquisition brings to reality the vision of our Board of Directors to become a true provider to the America’s and gives our current and future clients options on where and how they serve their customers. In seeking an acquisition partner, Marketlink’s expertise, leadership and culture compliment the core values and mission of Allied Global,” Gordo added.
The acquisition was easy as both Marketlink and Allied Global possess similar values and business culture. The two companies can synergize their capabilities to serve customers more optimally. Also, the companies look forward to providing better and new opportunities to employees, explained officials.
Marketlink delivers a range of telemarketing solutions to clients serving the needs of the cable television, telecom, financial services, agriculture, pharmaceutical and manufacturing industries. Marketlink solutions encompass sales, lead generation, database enhancement, and customer care services. The company opened a state-of-the-art call center in Indianola, Iowa, in December 2010.
Kourtney Keough, Marketlink president and CEO, said, “We are confident that this merger represents a new beginning for our two companies and will allow us to build a more competitive enterprise for the future.”
After the acquisition, although ownership for Marketlink changes, the U.S. operations will continue to operate under the Marketlink name.
