Unified communications specialist Iwatsu Voice Networks snagged a Best in Show award at the most recent INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO, held last month in San Diego.
The company was recognized for the latest version of its Enterprise-CS unified communications system (now out in release 3.0) which, when deployed with Esnatech’s TOL 7.0 platform, allows for integration with voicemail via SIP
.
In an announcement about the award, Iwatsu explained that this new capability means there no longer is a need to use a hardware card for connecting the solution to voicemail. That’s good news especially for small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
"We're thrilled to release the new upgrade," said Kevin Kelleher, Executive Vice President of Iwatsu Voice Networks.
“The Enterprise-CS version 3.0 enables some high-end presence mobility features normally out of the reach of most SMB,” explained Iwatsu Executive Vice President Kevin Kelleher, in a statement. “By utilizing SIP integration we're able to leverage technology to work for us to lower the cost of the solution.”
Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC) President and Conference Chairman Rich Tehrani said that Iwatsu’s presence at ITEXPO exemplifies why so many service providers, enterprise buyers, developers and resellers attend the show twice a year (ITEXPO makes an East Coast appearance January 23-26, 2007, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida).
“The presence of outstanding companies like Iwatsu Voice Networks further demonstrates INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO’s status as the leading forum for the VoIP and IP
communications industry,” Tehrani said in a statement. “Attendees know they'll find solutions in the Iwatsu booth that can help them in their businesses today.”
The Best in Show award recognizes innovative products and solutions featured in ITEXPOs exhibit hall.
