Netcentrex, TMC, and Light Reading Team on 2nd Annual Triple Play Symposium
Santa Clara, CA, April 6, 2006 – Netcentrex, the leading enabler of next generation converged voice and video solutions, today announced that it is again the lead sponsor for the 2nd Annual Triple Play Symposium. The Triple Play Symposium, a multi-city event held in Dallas, Boston, and Paris, was launched in 2005 as a forum for triple play executives and technologists to learn and share best practices for successful triple play deployments. Netcentrex is partnering with the two leading media companies covering IP-based services and next-generation networks — Light Reading and Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC).
The agenda for the Triple Play Symposium covers topics important to service providers seeking to offer triple play and quad play services to their subscribers including: VoIP, IPTV (News - Alert), IP-VoD, IP-Video Middleware, OSS, FMC, and IMS. Attendees will explore triple play business models, participate in service provider executive round-tables, see the latest available market research from industry experts, view innovative triple play demonstrations, and attend a networking cocktail reception.
Rick Thompson, senior analyst at Heavy Reading, Light Reading’s market research division, will again be the host and moderator and provide an overview of the evolving triple/quad play market. Light Reading, with a global audience of more than 400,000 readers, is a leading integrated business media company serving the telecommunications industry and other related next-generation communications markets.
Internet Telephony editor Greg Galitzine will anchor a panel of triple play experts. TMC, publishers of Internet Telephony magazine and producers of the successful Internet Telephony Conference & Expo trade shows, will help to provide maximum visibility for the Triple Play Symposium. Through their print, online and live event media outlets, TMC reaches more than 1 million readers each month. In addition, TMC will ensure smooth event logistics.
“We are honored to again provide this service to the evolving triple play industry,” said Netcentrex, Inc. CEO David Michaud. “Netcentrex’ technology is enabling some of the most advanced triple play service providers, including the pioneering deployment at Fastweb, so we have much to contribute in this area.”
“We were encouraged by last year’s turn-out and the participation of executive-level decision makers,” added Heavy Reading’s Rick Thompson. “The market has matured and this year will be even better.”
2005’s inaugural Triple Play Symposium (held in San Jose and New York) proved to be the premier forum for learning and exchanging ideas about the technology and business model behind successful triple play deployments. Paolo Tavazzani, Head of Advanced Services for Fastweb, provided the keynote. This year, the Triple Play Symposium is expanding with the addition of a Paris venue. Europe continues to be the most advanced and competitive market for triple play deployments and the cross-Atlantic learning for all participants will be invaluable.
“TMC is excited to join the team producing this important event,” said TMC President Rich Tehrani. “The Triple Play Symposium provides a needed exchange of ideas as this market grows from infancy to maturity.”
The complete schedule for the 2006 Triple Play Symposium is as follows:
June 13 – Dallas, Texas - Omni Dallas Park West Hotel
June 15 – Boston, Massachusetts - Waltham Conference Center
June 21 – Paris, France - INSTITUT DE FRANCE, Hôtel et Bibliothèque Dosne – Thiers
