Bressner Deploys Cantatas IMG 1010 VoIP Media Gateway at IN-telegence

Cantata Technology (News - Alert) Inc. has announced that its IMG 1010 Integrated Media and Signaling VoIP Gateway (News - Alert) has been deployed by IN-telegence, a Germany-wide carrier specializing in premium rate numbers typically associated with entertainment, tech support, and televoting services.

 

Cantata worked closely with its European distribution partner, Bressner Technology, to ensure a smooth deployment process that will enable IN-telegence to rapidly introduce enhanced, revenue-generating VoIP services throughout its extensive network in Germany.

 

IN-telegence selected the IMG 1010 due to its integrated SS7 functionality that will enable the carrier to provide TDM/SS7 connectivity in a single platform throughout its distributed IP network. The direct accessibility to IP-based call centers via service numbers will generate a competitive advantage for IN-telegence in Germany, and will allow the carrier to deliver better quality service at lower cost. As a result, IN-telegence will experience increased demand for service and higher per call minute volume.

The IMG 1010 will enable IN-telegence to quickly add new IP-based services while providing a clear migration path to an all VoIP network, said Timothy L. In addition, IN-telegence will leverage the expertise of a strong, successful local Cantata partner Bressner Technology to provide superior support to maximize its investment.

By committing to Cantatas IMG 1010, IN-telegence is able to offer a greater value proposition to its customers, said Holger Jansen, managing director, IN-telegence. IN-telegence invests in advanced IP technologies and combines them with the capabilities of flexible routing in the Intelligent Network (IN).

The IMG 1010 is an integrated media and signaling VoIP gateway that provides any-to-any network connectivity, enabling delivery of SIP services into legacy SS7, PRI and CAS networks, as well as IP-to-IP transcoding to connect IP networks using different protocols. The IMG 1010 offers a wide range network interfaces in a compact, high density 1U package, allowing service providers to deploy applications across fixed and mobile networks worldwide.
