Comverse Updates MyCall Fixed Mobile Telephony Software

By Spencer D. Chin, TMCnet Web Editor

Comverse, a subsidiary of Comverse Technology (News - Alert) Inc., has announced the availability of a new release of MyCall Converged Communications, an integrated fixed and mobile communication solution for delivering seamless consumer services over fixed broadband and mobile networks.

MyCall Converged Communications enables all types of service providers to offer attractive, cost-effective, hosted bundles of consumer voice, video and messaging services. Service providers now benefit from the flexibility to deploy a combination of services customized to consumer lifestyles, which can lead to stronger customer relationships.

With MyCall, subscribers can use a similar user interface on a PC or a mobile phone to access all communication and messaging services, including telephony, SMS, MMS, IM and Presence. The same number can be used to call all devices, there is a shared contact list among all devices and all the services use the same billing mechanism.

In addition, MyCall subscribers benefit from Visual Voicemail, enabling quicker response times, a simpler user experience and an intuitive visual interface with a one-click response to messages. The solution also supports personalized call configurations between residential, PC-based and mobile telephony.

MyCall enables operators to offer fixed-mobile service bundles, such as ‘My Mobile on My PC,’ which is designed to increase both ARPU and subscriber loyalty,” said Benny Einhorn, CMO of Comverse. “MyCall’s new communicator clients for the PC and for the mobile handset make it an end-to-end solution that ensures seamless communication and messaging on all relevant devices, including dual-mode handsets that allow subscribers to access both cellular and Wi-Fi networks.”
