MTS Deploys Comverse Real-Time Billing Solution to Better Serve its Customers

With the RTB Solution in place, MTS (News - Alert) can now offer advanced personalization capabilities, à la carte service plan customization, and usage-driven automated marketing promotions to its customers. In addition it will be able to rapidly develop and launch service offerings to both broad and targeted market segments, while simultaneously providing end-user empowerment through self-directed offers. This advanced marketing vehicle will serve to boost the carrier’s profitability and increase customer satisfaction.
“Upon evaluation of the Comverse Real-Time Billing Solution, it made good business sense to deploy a comprehensive system that fulfils our billing needs while strengthening our marketing strategies,” said Mikhail Shamolin, vice president and director at MTS Russia, in a press release. “Now that we, we are ready to meet all requirements for future growth while delivering the highest level of services to our subscribers.”
Benny Einhorn, President of Comverse EMEA, added that the new deal with MTS “speaks well to the growing awareness by operators of the advantages of leveraging sophisticated marketing capabilities to realize revenue potential by using the advanced Comverse Real-Time Billing.”
MTS serves about 82 million subscribers in Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
Comverse last made news on TMCnet in December when it announced that leading U.S. mobile services provider Alltel (News - Alert) Wireless had extended its five-year managed services contract with Comverse to operate and support its real-time billing environment for prepaid subscribers. The deal is an extension of an existing agreement to manage the complete system operations and maintenance of Alltel’s Real Time Billing solution.
