BrightCom to Launch High-End Telepresence Solutions at ITEXPO

By Amy Tierney, TMCnet Web Editor

BrightCom, a provider of integrated telepresence and video conferencing solutions, recently announced its plans to exhibit at the upcoming ITEXPO West 2009 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, to be held Sept. 1 to 3.
The Huntington Beach, Calif.-based company is slated to launch the first of its new line of high-end telepresence solutions Sept. 2 to 3 in booth #202.
Visitors to BrightCom’s booth can experience the company’s integration of collaborative telepresence, a solution that combines high resolution video and audio broadcasts with interactive data collaboration. The solution will put attendees in an immersive communication environment built for smaller and instant work sessions.
Although meeting participants are located all around the world, the solution is designed to make people feel as though they were side by side, speaking as if they’re in the same room. BrightCom plans to unveil its solution at the convention, officials said.
Telepresence is a very innovative and new technology that many people have yet to experience. As a first time exhibitor at TMC’s (News - Alert) ITEXPO, BrightCom is enthusiastic to be able to represent the telepresence and video conferencing industry,” ,” said Bob McCandless, CEO of BrightCom, told TMCnet. “We hope our newest telepresence solutions will compliment the IP based video, voice and unified communication innovation and expertise in the ITEXPO’s (News - Alert) showcase.”

ITEXPO will give BrightCom the chance to engage more heavily with the IP communication industry, McCandless said. The tradeshow will help BrightCom create solid relationships to help expand its markets and connect the company with buyers and resellers who are knowledgeable about IP video, voice, and fax communication, he said.
“Ultimately, BrightCom’s goal is to become an industry leader in telepresence solutions contending against excellent competitors such as Polycom, Tandberg (News - Alert) and Teliris,” McCandless said. “BrightCom’s integrated approach to telepresence enables organizations to do more with the natural feeling of face to face communication by adding robust web conferencing capabilities such as interactive data sharing. ITEXPO West 09 is a perfect setting for the public and industry experts to see how this unique approach can benefit businesses and organizations all around the world.”
BrightCom’s telepresence and video conferencing solutions include its line of ClearView Video Conference Rooms and Mobile Cart Systems, which lets businesses and organizations combine standard and HD video and audio broadcasts with Web conferencing capabilities using its meeting server infrastructure, Visual Collaboration System 2.0. The solution offers meeting management as well as the ability to share and interact with data, such as high resolution images, video clips, and documents.
Functions such as remote desktop control, Web browser sharing, whiteboards, polling and instant messaging add to the meeting experience. Participants can share data in its native format over a Web-based meeting environment of VCS.
ITEXPO is an event for companies in the IP communications industry to network and showcase their offerings. It offers an educational program that teaches resellers, enterprises, SMBs, and government agencies how to select IP-based voice, video, fax, and unified communications to purchase or resell. This is the 10th anniversary of the world’s largest and best-attended IP Communications trade show.
The show is expected to draw more than 7,000 attendees, TMC said.
