Three Canadian companies – VanillaSoft, Thunder CRM, and MarkeTel – reportedly will partner with Compliance Systems Corporation to use the company’s Do Not Call solution, “TeleBlock.”
The Canadian government introduced a Do-Not-Call law, effective Sept. 30. The new partnership was formed to help the companies comply with this new law.
By registering with the national Do-Not-Call list, Canadians are now able to avoid unsolicited telemarketer calls with the passage of this law. Companies that violate this law can be fined up to $15,000 for corporations and individuals may be fined up to $1,500.
Checking the various DNC lists, Call Compliance’s (News - Alert) TeleBlock system blocks any calls from going out to consumer telephone numbers on these lists. By using this, companies can relieve themselves of the responsibility for compliance with this new law. Also, TeleBlock offers third party verification and historical tracking for any regulators inquiry.
According to Dean Garfinkel (News - Alert), chief executive officer for Compliance Systems Corporation, the recently passed Canadian DNC legislation underscores the international need for compliance solutions such as TeleBlock.
“TeleBlock has already been adopted and is in use by many Canadian call centers,” Garfinkel said. “We are pleased that these Canadian-based companies have realized the value of our technology and we look forward to partnering with additional solution providers. This recent development aligns with our growth strategy of extending the company’s global reach.”
Compliance Systems Corporation (News - Alert) says that the company has handled more than 6 billion error-free calls for more than 10 years and not a single customer has paid any penalty as yet. The three new Canadian companies have a variety of telephone integration, which ranges from traditional analog lines to digital and VoIP.
Helping them avoid calling their clients' do not call telephone numbers on the Canadian and U.S. DNC lists, the phone numbers have been integrated with the TeleBlock solution. TeleBlock is also distributed by U.S.-based telephone carriers. Some of these carriers have global reach including such Tier 1 telephone carriers as AT&T, Verizon (News - Alert) Business, Qwest Communications and PaeTec Communications.
