NetSuite's Cloud-Based Software Gains Traction among Retailers

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

NetSuite (News - Alert), a provider of cloud-based financials and ERP software suites, has won three new retail customers -- HydroFlask, Solio and X-1-- for its cloud business management software.

The company delivers cloud solutions that enable retailers to streamline business processes, gain agility and flexibility and achieve operational efficiencies by improving supply chain operations in the cloud, providing an real-time 360-degree of the businesses, and allowing data to flow seamlessly for wholesale distributors and their trading partners.

HydroFlask, which makes double-wall, vacuum-insulated stainless steel water bottles, has deployed NetSuite to support financials, inventory, warehousing and third-party logistics (3PL), order management, CRM and sales to consumers, wholesalers and across more than 4,000 retail outlets in North America such as Cabela's and Eastern Mountain Sports. Since deploying the solution, the company has doubled its revenues, according to company officials.

Solio (News - Alert), a manufacturer of solar chargers, solar flashlights and solar batteries, has been using NetSuite for its sales pipeline, eCommerce storefront, inventory management, order to cash and financials, gaining efficiency and visibility not possible with its previous QuickBooks system. Following the deployment of NetSuite, Solio achieved triple-digit growth in product sales at large retailers such as REI and Radio Shack.

X-1, a provider of waterproof and sweat proof headphones, cases and accessories, is using NetSuite for inventory and distribution, accounting and customer service. The deployment is significant as the company is embarking on its rebranding and expansion. With NetSuite, X-1 has back-office integration for its Web storefront and sales tracking by product, and has reduced its open customer service cases by 25 percent while gaining visibility into issues to improve product quality

"Outdoor retailers running NetSuite can focus on their core mission of delivering innovative outdoor gear and building customer loyalty and brand awareness without the drag of on-premise tools and unnecessary expenses," said Roman Bukary, AVP of Manufacturing and Wholesale and Distribution at NetSuite, in a statement.

"It's extremely gratifying to see so many of our customers rapidly grow their businesses leveraging the NetSuite platform—cloud technology is a critical differentiator delivering a competitive advantage," Bukary added.

In June NetSuite announced the addition of Precise Business Solutions and Cloud ERP as the latest partners to join the NetSuite Solution Provider Program. The NetSuite channel focus aims to leverage the vertical domain knowledge and best practices of leading value-added resellers (VARs), particularly in the wholesale distribution, services, manufacturing, mining and retail sectors.
