G-NET Deploys Radisys Conference Solution to Optimize Features and Flexibility

By Susan J. Campbell, TMCnet Contributing Editor

(NEBS) The growing conferencing marketing in China is set to get a boost in next-generation collaboration capabilities thanks to a recent G-NET Integrated Services Co. Ltd deployment of the Radisys conferencing solution. A conferencing service provider (CSP (News - Alert)) based in Beijing, G-NET selected Radisys due to the economics, advanced features and flexibility in the platform.

“Radisys is honored to have been deployed by G-NET (News - Alert) for its ongoing conferencing service expansion plans into the emerging Asian conferencing market," said Amit Agarwal, vice president and general manager, Software and Solutions, Radisys, in a press release. "This G-NET deployment marks the strategic expansion of Radisys conferencing solutions with a CSP headquartered in, and focused on, building and growing the conferencing market in China.”

With a focus on telecom platform deployment in the Chinese market, G-NET is concerned with balancing the demand for international conferencing services with the growing competition that continues to push down price points. High-value conferencing solutions are enabled through the combination of media servers and Radisys SIPware into a single VoIP collaboration platform that includes a cost-effective architecture.

The solution selected by G-NET includes the Radisys Voice Quality Enhancement (VQE) capabilities, a unique combination of VoIP conference options integrated with VQE features such as noise reduction, echo cancellation and the concealment of packet loss. G-NET is touting the offering as providing a conferencing experience that is not only high quality, but also a differentiator in the market.

As a NEI technology partner, Radisys continues to extend its reach in the telecommunications sector, offering customers the solutions they need to promote quality interactions integrated with next-generation and legacy systems. This partnership enables the telecom platform deployment company to produce high-mix, COTS-based solutions that address unique network requirements in today’s dynamic environments.

NEI (News - Alert) forms these relationships to extend its solution capabilities to ensure greater deployment options and flexibility than other vendors can provide. The telecom platform deployment provider’s relationship with Radisys enables customers to reduce the cost of research and development by combining experience and best-in-class skills to ensure the delivery of highly reliable carrier-grade systems.

The flexible engagement model also allows NEI customers to select from a comprehensive set of services designed specifically to augment the desired technology and support deployment teams. The company’s solutions and integrated services address the entire lifecycle, supported by a disciplined approach to optimal program management.

As the conferencing market continues to ramp up in China, the demand for next-generation solutions will continue to grow. NEI and Radisys are positioned to embrace this growth, optimizing on new opportunities and delivering the telecom platform deployment solutions companies need.
