The ViBE CP6000 for telecom platform deployment offers a higher density solution offering capacity of up to eight HD channels in a single chassis. This not only saves space, but also reduces energy consumption.

The telecom platform deployment solution is based on the ATCA telecom standard, providing high-quality transport of live HD and SD content over IP or satellite contribution networks.

ViBE CP6000 can be deployed in 3Gbps SDI applications (1080p50/59.97). The video delivery platform can even address 3D applications. Featuring hot swappable modules, the solution facilitates easy setup, expansion and maintenance.

In a related telecom platform deployment, Videotron (News - Alert), a Canadian telecommunications operator, has announced it is now utilizing Cisco's (News - Alert) HD set-top box platform in order to power its robust digital TV service.

Videotron has selected the Cisco Explorer 8642 HD-DVR and 4642 HD set-top boxes to offer customers a much higher quality entertainment experience. And its new offering, illico TV New Generation, encompasses highly advanced video services and much simpler and quicker navigation functionality.
