Telecom Platform Deployment: Anue Systems' Advanced Feature Module Achieves NEBS Level 3 Certification

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

(NEBS)

Anue Systems, a provider of telecom platform deployment solutions including network monitoring switches, has revealed that it has achieved NEBS Level 3 certification with its Advanced Feature Module (AFM) for its 5273 and 5236 Net Tool Optimizer (NTO) products that will address the needs of the telecom industry.

Back in July of this year, Anue Systems launched its packet processing features to help network engineers improve monitoring tool performance of telecom platform deployment, and recently the company unveiled the Anue 5273 Net Tool Optimizer, a carrier-class high availability platform designed with telecommunication and cable service providers in mind. The device will help customers achieve network performance goals, while offering the capabilities needed to meet increased bandwidth demands.

The NEBS certification of the AFM enables Anue Systems to provide telecom, service provider and enterprise customers with assured features that will operate successfully under extreme conditions during deployment.

MET Laboratories (News - Alert), a NEBS test lab, tested and certified the advanced packet processing features.

“NEBS-3 is a very strict test regimen for the most demanding telecom environments,” said Troy Franklin, MET’s Director of Environmental & Energy Laboratory, in a statement. “For example, the test environment includes failover and partial operational requirements, RF emissions and tolerances, and the testing of airflow patterns.”

Telecom companies are currently deploying a number of network monitoring tools, including network analyzers and network recorders to make it much easier to deploy these platforms in a shorter period of time. Also, each monitoring tool requires access to the data traversing the network and needs specific portions of the data that is used for analysis.

“When it comes to monitoring LTE (News - Alert) networks, packet trimming delivers two key benefits,” said Rudy Millian, product manager at Anue Systems.  “First, it enables our customers to comply with customer privacy policies by removing sensitive data from network packets before they reach the monitoring tools. Second, by removing non-essential data, packet trimming effectively boosts monitoring tool capacity and efficiency,” Millian concluded.

A recent TMCnet article analyzes three important issues the telecom platform deployment industry faces. Read the full article here.
