Customer Portal Launched by Telecom Platform Deployment Provider NEI

By Jamie Epstein, TMCnet Web Editor

NEI (News - Alert), a provider of telecom platform deployment solutions that can be utilized by software technology developers and OEMs around the globe, has just introduced its improved web-based customer portal, My-NEI, which will dramatically elevate customer access to a variety of production and logistics processes, including manufacturing, stocking, shipping, and distribution management.

“The real-time access to critical international logistics, shipping and inventory management information at any time, regardless of time zone differences, has resulted in substantial time and cost savings for RSA Security (News - Alert),” said Jim O'Leary, worldwide supply chain manager at RSA, The Security Divion of EMC, in a press release. “Additionally, the NEI portal provides a shared resource between customer and supplier – eliminating any confusion by ensuring both parties are looking at the same information, which has improved our supply chain management efficiency.”

According to the release, the My-NEI online portal assists NEI customers in gaining better visibility into exactly what is going on within the production of their products by providing insight access to inventory reports, orders, shipments, sales forecasts, etc.

Some of the innovative features of this new portal include easier tracking, which helps customers instantly see when their products will be ready to be delivered for orders; innovative reporting features; and simpler navigation with an easy-to-use GUI that can streamline orders. Through the new ‘Shipped Orders’ screen, customers can see orders right up until they are delivered, as well as analyze invoices and purchase orders that shipped within a certain time range.

Earlier this month, TMCnet also reported that NEI participated in the annual ATCA Summit, which brings together thought leaders in the telecom equipment provider, carrier, and other service provider industries to speak about the future direction of communications platforms utilized in the telecom central office, wireless systems, video processing, and military and defense applications.

Austin Hipes, vice president of technology at NEI, presented a session entitled, “Using Private Cloud Techniques with AdvancedTCA (News - Alert) Platforms” as part of the Applications Track’s “New Applications” session at the event.
