NEI’s N-1500 R2 and N-2500 R3 carrier-grade rack mount servers give customers NEBS Level 3 certified products, in a small 20-inch deep footprint. These platforms have already gone through the various stages of rigorous testing that are required by today’s telecommunication organizations. 

These 1U and 2U carrier-grade NEBS servers deliver the most up-to-date performance and reliability; while offering an estimated life cycle of almost five years. With the ability to install up to three high-end telephony cards, NEI’s (News - Alert) NEBS servers allow VARs, ISVs, network equipment manufacturers and OEMs to deliver communications solutions and services at a lower cost, by reducing time-to-market and maximizing return on investment, NEI’s website claims.

The N-1500 R2 boasts a processor consisting of a Quad-Core Intel (News - Alert) Xeon L5410, or Dual-Core Intel Xeon LV5148 or LV5128. The N-1500 has room for up to 24 GB’s worth of memory. The product also has three hot-swap 2.5 inch SAS (News - Alert) drives, as well as room for expansion with 1 full-length, full-height super slot: PCI-X or PCIe. It is both AC and DC NEBS Level 3 compliant.

The N-2500 R3 has a Dual Intel Xeon processor with a memory of up to 16 GB. It boasts six hot-swap SAS drives that maintain RAID 5 support. The product comes with two full-length, full-height PCIe and one PCI (News - Alert)-X slot, and three full-length, full-height PCI-X slots are optional. Two add-in boards for RAID controllers or FC controllers are included. Some special features include dual redundant hot-swap DC or AC power, as well as being NEBS certified. There is also an optional fiber channel 2 GB control for DC input only.
