The 6th Annual National Summit on Telecom Expense Management, which will take center stage at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. from June 21 to June 22, will help enterprise communications technology professionals to turbo-charge their telecom expense management initiatives.
The National Summit is being organized by Center for Communications Management and Voice Report.
CCMI is a provider of telecom rate and data information and applications. Telecom expense management (TEM) solutions are a powerful tool to shrink enterprise telecom costs - but heading into an implementation without the benefit of peers' lessons learned can lead to budget-busting false starts, delays and missteps.
The conference organizers said that enterprises have moved beyond TEM hype and are now examining how best to deliver on the promise.
Conference attendees, organizers said, will learn how to assess solutions that have morphed from narrowly focused bill auditing applications into full-fledged ERPs.
They'll scrutinize each discipline in the procure-to-pay lifecycle and discover techniques to ensure they realize maximum savings from their TEM investment.
"Today's TEM solutions form a critical link in the communications supply chain for any enterprise aggressively focused on managing spend," said George David, conference chairman, in a statement.
"That's why it's essential to ensure your TEM platform integrates seamlessly with inventory, audit, financial management and contract compliance processes," David said.
He added that summit attendees will hear from peers who have gotten it right and are reaping the benefits.
Featuring three real-world case studies, a panel of executives at leading TEM firms and vendor-neutral guidance from industry experts, this year's event will build on the Summit's reputation as the industry's most influential independent TEM conference.
Organizers said that attendees will also be able to dig deeper into the case study presenters' know-how with informal Q&A during the Enterprise Power Panel.
The most popular session at previous Summits has been the "TEM Power Panel," where a standing-room-only crowd gathers to hear from execs of leading TEM vendors. Head honchos from Asentinel, HCL Expense Management Services, IBM (News - Alert), Symphony SMS and Telesoft will make up this year's panel.
The conference also features a TEM Expo and special several networking events supported by 15 providers of TEM services and the Telecom Expense Management Industry Association (TEMIA (News - Alert)).
"This was a great opportunity to network with other users in different industries - sharing the same issues our organization faces," said Tom Landers, enterprise telecom manager for the Emergency Medical Services Corporation, who attended last year's summit.
